Dr. Charles Bennin is the Founder/President of Iconic Legends Ltd; a fast-growing international business facilitation, trade and investment brokerage firm, providing diversified consulting and financial services to clients in Ghana and other neighboring countries in the West African Sub Region. 

 

Dr. Bennin’s career background has been mainly in the insurance industry, having worked with Ghana’s leading insurance brokerage firm known as KEK Insurance Brokers Ltd in various executive capacities including Area Manager in Takoradi, Tema and Kumasi on various occasions, Group Head of Business Development, Marketing & Research at the Head office in Accra, and eventually as the Country CEO of KEK Insurance Brokers (SL) Ltd in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Later on, he joined Donewell Insurance Company as The Head of Business Development & Marketing, and finally took up an appointment as the pioneer Managing Director of IDEAL Insurance Brokers; a subsidiary of the erstwhile IDEAL Financial Holdings, all based in Accra, Ghana.

 

Outside the insurance industry, Dr Bennin has also occupied senior executive positions such as the General Manager for Ghana, Cote D’ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger of Hippo Transport Limited; a leading transport and haulage company headquartered in the Harbour City of Tema; a subsidiary of Hippo Group of Companies, and eventually as President of Blue Ocean Development Ghana Ltd, a subsidiary of Blue Ocean Development Group based in USA.

 

Charles B. Bennin holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Marketing) Certificate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Education Certificate in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He also possesses professional qualifications in Insurance and Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and a Foundation in 

Insurance Certificate from the Malta International Training School respectively, and is a holder of the IAPPD Professional Leadership Certificate. 

 

In 2017, he was appointed as the Country Ambassador and Global Advisory Board Member of the Africa Trade & Investment Global Services; a trade & investment events organizing firm based in Houston-Texas, USA aimed at offering African countries the platform to showcase their investment opportunities and potentials to foreign investors towards attracting foreign direct investment in the continent and plays an additional role as a Project Facilitator for West Africa, and a Local Partner to the US-Africa Business Expo.

 

In 2018, a US based Culture of Honour and Golden Rule Civility Organisation based in California known as iChange Nations, that focuses on promoting true Statesmanship globally, in collaboration with the United Graduate College & Seminary International, conferred an honorary doctorate degree in Humanities on him, which ceremony was held at Capitol Hill in Washington DC, USA. He is also a Global Advisory Board Member, and Honorary Country Representative of the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry for Ghana.

 

In 2021, he was again conferred with an Honorary Doctorate of Professorship Degree by the United Graduate College and Seminary International based in California, United States of America, and also adjudged the World’s Civility Ambassador’s Diplomat of the year Award (2021). Amongst other honors includes International Humanitarian Medal Award during the International Nelson Mandela 2021. 

 

Dr Charles B. Bennin has immense expertise, experience and exposure in the following areas; Trade and Investment, Global Networking, Project Management, Project Funding, Events Organising, High-Profiled Lobbying, Conference Speaking, Marketing & Business Development, Diaspora-based privileged connections and initiatives. He has travelled extensively to participate in various international trades & investment related conferences and represents several foreign investors and financiers interested in the African Market. and was recently nominated by the Greatness University in London to participate in the World’s Greatness Awards.
